WELCOME TO LAKE CHAMPLAIN TROUTSCOUT CHARTERS

Your Captain is a native Vermonter and has spent years on the waters of Lake Champlain. Captain Pete lives on a tiny island called Isle La Motte in the Lake Champlain Islands Region.

United States Coast Guard - 50 Ton Master Captain/Peter Murray's mission is to provide a safe and productive experience aboard the Missy Jean.

Let the Captain's experience be your guide for not only a day of great fishing but fantastic views of our breathtaking mountains, with the Adirondack Mountains to the West and the Green Mountains to the East.

The Captain's obvious love and respect for the lake and its offerings is the driving force behind much of the activity on board.

The fish were plenty and the company was great.

Some real jumbos were caught and brought home for dinner, good eats!!
This is Matthew preparing our catch for a photo op.
Thanks Justin, Matthew and Pete for a great experience of fishing on Lake Carmi.

Thanks for stopping by.

THE CAPTAINS GRAND BABY'S FIRST BOAT RIDE

Captain Pete took out the little granddaughter for a ride on the Missy Jean.
It was a beautiful,  fall day.
The lake was calm and the sun was shining for our special ride.
Of course this little one can drive her Papa's boat anytime, indeed!!!

Captain looks forward to some fishing with the little one in 2014 from the boats edge, stay tuned.
This is her first experience with a fishing pole, she caught a perch!!

CATCH UP ON FALL FISHING 2013

Trying to catch up on some fishing stories and some photographs from the fall of 2013.
Beautiful shot of our green mountains.

Found a few fish in 134 feet of water, with surface water temperature of 60 degrees.

One foot chop with temperature around 60 degrees.
Beautiful day for fishing.

These two young guys managed to catch their limit and then some.
Look at this smile...

Doubles on!!!

The Captain says "job well done"

Another charter for the books.
Another beautiful day for fishing.
Sunny skies with temperatures around 70 with calm waters, doesn't get much better than this.
Salmon were the target fish for the day.

Had an opportunity to go fishing on the Cathy Jean with Captain Thorny.
Several beautiful salmon were caught.
Thanks Captain!!
Well this covers it for the 2013 season, what a season it was.
